You don't have to be a staying guest or a member of one of our cooking classes to come take a peek at our garden. We find it a peaceful and rejuvinating spot to wander. We welcome visitors to come and enjoy it while visiting or passing through Anderson Valley.
We are heading for a quarter of a century on the farm and our garden reflects the years of change and growth. We originally started growing annuals in a small plot, progressed to perennials and finally added shrubs and trees. What has evolved is a garden with form and structure filled with a palette of plants that have proven themselves worthy, from the border to the table.

In our kitchen garden we focus on growing the herbs and greens that are at their best when freshly cut. Our newest plot is reserved for warm weather vegetables and a cutting garden. We have just finished reclaiming the area from Bermuda grass and fencing out our roving flock of chickens. Our brood is quite significant this year and in addition to supplying us with delicious bright eggs their foraging is vital to keeping our pest population in balance. Unfortunately they also love to scratch up our mulch and take the first bite out of every tomato.
