How could we resist? Johnny and partners had the opportunity to purchase the old Farrer Building and property in downtown Boonville. On one of our earliest trips to the valley we had toured the property and fantasized about the possibilities. It was too much for us then with babies and farms to nurture, but when it came around this time we were ready. The central storefront space with its old wood floor hidden under a coat of paint and its original shelving is a real treasure.
Just about the time we realized we could not take on the project alone we met Sandy Mailliard. She was looking for a way to come back to the family ranch in Yorkville and get involved in the community. To make a long story short, she was a perfect fit and we have gained a new friend and partner. Vicki Moss, with us from the start, is now a partner as well.
Downtown Boonville is a wonderful place, but could use a little filling out. We wanted to do our part and have tried to create a store that will enhance the quality of life for our locals as well as take advantage of the traffic that passes through our valley on the way to the coast. Shopping locally is a big part of making a community thrive and we seem to have a lot of eager customers. We will stock an ever changing array of interesting things for your home and your garden in an effort to keep both ourselves and our customers entertained.
Stop by on your way through town. Mosswood Market is on one side, All That Good Stuff on the other, and the delightful Paysanne ice cream shop is two doors down. We also don’t mind being the nicest pit stop in Boonville.
