The farm is waking up...
Spring is bursting forth all around us in every shade of green. It's the perfect time to Just Stay and watch the show.
We have had an almost perfect winter. Rain in abundance but the river stayed where it belongs. Tim and Jerzy have had the time to evaluate the orchard. Karen is making sure the buildings and grounds are well tended and ready for another busy season, while coordinating with Polly on plans weddings, parties, and suppers.
Rita and Jerzy are closing in on their house project with windows in place, while getting the gardens going, and tending the trees. Sophia is busy as always - she has become quite the shepardess in her job at Pennyroyal. Our little flock of chickens and our milking goats are just a sideline for her.
We are in the midst of a baby boom here in Anderson Valley with so many young people settling in and starting families. Nothing could be so life affirming as seeing them at play in our beautiful orchard.
As we look toward the future and begin to take steps to lessen the load on Tim and Karen’s shoulders, we are re-evaluating where we focus. It’s likely we will only be offering Stay and Cook for a couple more years, so now is the time to gather a group of 8 for this unique farm to table experience.
Our Saturday Suppers are still going strong and continue to be a delightful way to collaborate with local wineries and connect with our community near and far. Book your seat at the table and settle in for a couple of nights.
Our gate is open for you.
